Despite suffering setbacks in 1914, by 1915 the Allies had managed to secure the coast of the German colony of Kamerun and overrun most of Neukamerun (the southern and eastern territories France had ceded to the Germans in 1911). In May they launched their first attacks on the colonial capital of Jaunde, eventually capturing it in January 1916. (The Germans at Mora, under siege since August 1914, would finally surrendered in February 1916, bringing an end to all resistance in the colony.)

In April 1915 the French and British troops in the west of the German Protectorate of Kamerun resumed their advance against the capital, Jaunde; a few days later, they also commenced their operation to capture the important northern town of Garua. Meanwhile the French and Belgian forces invading the protectorate from the south and east completed their conquest of the region of Neukamerun. Jaunde finally fell to the three converging fronts at the beginning of 1916, with the last German defenders surrendering at the besieged outpost of Mora, in the far north, the following month. in wikipedia

In April 1915 Allied forces landed on and around the Gallipoli peninsula, Turkey: the British/British Indian 29th Division at Helles; the Australians and New Zealanders (Anzacs) north of Gaba Tepe at what would be named Anzac Cove; and the French at Kum Kale on the Asian shore. Despite suffering heavy casualties during the initial landings, the Allies managed to secure their positions and advance inland against the Ottoman defenders. In May 1915, in the First Battle of Jaunde, British Nigerian and French Equatorial African forces converged on Jaunde, capital of the German Protectorate of Kamerun, but were beaten back in late June in the face of adverse conditions and German resistance. A second assault was mounted in October, despite the Allied columns still not being able to maintain effective communication with each other due to the terrain.
