Arriving the North on his dragon Vermax, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon treated with Lord Cregan Stark at the Wall, where Cregan assured Jacaerys of his loyalty to Queen Rhaenyra. Concerned by the approach of winter, Cregan said he couldn’t send many man, just a few thousand “greybeards”. To the south, in the Vale of Arryn, Jacaerys also gained the support of Lady Jeyne Arryn, who requested that a dragon be sent to the Eyrie for its defense. see external link

S2 E1 / 132AC Assassination of Jaehaerys Targaryen ▲

Grief-stricken by the death of her son Lucerys at the hands of Aemond Targaryen and his dragon Vhagar, Queen Rhaenyra demanded retribution. Quick to act, Daemon Targaryen ordered a former gold cloak (“Blood”) and a rat catcher (“Cheese”) to infiltrate the Red Keep in King’s Landing and enact the Queen’s vengeance. Unable to find Aemond, and in danger of being discovered, Blood and Cheese chanced upon King Aegon’s young son Jaehaerys and killed him instead. in wikipedia

S2 E2 / 132AC Assassination attempt on Rhaenyra ▲

Following the murder of his son Prince Jaehaerys, King Aegon II dismissed Otto Hightower as Hand of the King and, saying he wished to “spill blood, not ink”, replaced him with Kingsguard commander Criston Cole. On Cole’s orders, Ser Arryk Cargyll sailed to Dragonstone and infiltrated the palace by pretending to be his identical twin Ser Erryk, who had defected to the Blacks. Just as Ser Arryk approached Queen Rhaenyra, however, Ser Erryk arrived and killed him in combat, then fell on his own sword in guilt over being a kinslayer. see external link
